So I have decided to be better about posting on this thing. I need to find what is right for me. Not everyone can post EVERYday, I certainly cannot. Due to my busy schedule and novice status at blogging I do not feel comfortable constantly posting to the world. Therefore I will ease it into my life. I would like to share how I feel about my writing and being a writer in general, along with my work and accomplishments -- yet I feel very modest online and do not want to brag or be self absorbed. So I will ONLY post once a week. Hopefully I will find a rhythm or style that is mine and stick to it. Until then I'll just post about what's on my mind or what I've been up too (don't worry this is a writing blog and I WILL talk about my struggles with publishing and creating). So no worries!!!!!
Question:
Do you feel like you are a strong and efficient blogger?
Did you feel this way when you first started blogging?
How did you overcome your inhibitions about blogging?
What are your thoughts on my dilemma??
Hello! I think just go with the flow re blogging. There’s no pressure to post – this is your blog, so you do what feels right for you. Perhaps it will help to decide what is the main thing you want to use it for – is it a place to dump thoughts, a platform to showcase your writing, do you want to gain followers, or is it a place to put things that inspire you? Once you have that bit sorted in your mind the rest will come!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! Yeah I guess I don't know EXACTLY what I want to use it for. There are several things I guess.
ReplyDeleteI have an award for you! Check out today's post. Maybe that will inspire you to keep up with your blog!
ReplyDeleteI post M-F, but two of those days are something really simple like writing tips or quotes or inspiring pictures. I use blogging to jump-start my writing routine. I also love discussing writing with others who are going through the same things! Most of my friends are math and business people, so it's beneficial for me to be a part of a writing community.
Good luck, and I hope you find what you're looking for! Remember to check out your award. :)
Thank you for the award!!! I just put it up for display with a special thanks meant for you (you def gave me a jump start and made my day).
ReplyDeleteI like that I idea of using a few days only for cool pics or quotes. I might use that. And the discussing writing is really what I want from this blog but sometimes the action of the writing process slows and its hard to talk about any progress. But I will def give it a go w/ the frequent posting once school lets out! Summer should be fun :)
I still fell like a newbie, and recently have been worrying CONSTANTLY about that people will think of my blog, because I have more followers now and I feel the need to please them. Still trying to figure out how to calm down and just blog because I enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy your blogging journey :)
Thanks AchingHope and I feel ya! It's similar. It feels like a fail if you don't know what to post one day or the post does not exactly pertain to the purpose of your blog, but Laura def gave me some ideas for blogging!
