And yes. I'm making excuses. If I really wanted to be writing I WOULD BE.
But sometimes LIFE can be a BRAIN DRAIN (just learned that in Human Geography...but I mean it in a completely diff way).
I LOVE writing but sometimes STRESS wins. stress won.
Ugh oh yeah. I JUST got back from baby sitting tonight. Those kids are energy suckers.
ANYWAYS..."Piranhas and Gold Fish" has been a little higher in my interest than "Poseidon's Surge", which is weird because "PS" is more action/adventure/sci-fi/tragic romance -that's my style, my interest! But "PGF" is plain old YA, no cool action just a teenage girl doing strange teenage girl stuff. Ha maybe I need to start dating again so I can get my inspiration back onto "PS".
And I have not told you what these two are about yet so I'll give you a quick glimpse because some samples might pop up later ;)
"Poseidon's Surge", set in the year 2310 (300 years from now). The world has been completely engulfed by water (only high peaks still stand above the water) and everyone lives on boats. There are 8 major governments that rule now. And that's all you get for now :)
"Piranhas and Gold Fish" is about a 17 year old girl who runs track, hates her cat Savvy (who she refers to as Fuzz-Butt), and has boy problems... that's all I want to share so far, I have not decided where to take it.

ReplyDeletePoseidon's Surge sounds awesome!!! I know what you mean about life being a "brain drain" though. But life would totally get the better of me if I didn't write something every day. I set small daily goals for myself and that helps a lot.
